An old friend recently emailed me about doing a tee for her little one's second birthday. She sent me an email of something she had in mind. So I went to the fabric shop to find some Disney "Cars" fabric. I've been thinking that I remember when she first told me she was expecting and a little book I gave her.  I recently gave my daughter the same "Belly Book".  Can't believe that little one will soon be 2 years old.  So inspired, my grandson Alex will be 6 tomorrow and I decided to do him a shirt.  I am so excited to see a pic of these little guys.  If you would like a shirt created for your little one just email me.

I've been busy sewing a few holiday creations. Debbie at Debbie's Flowers (check her florals out) needed some long sleeve tees for some special little ones and my great niece Lily and her brother Liam are planing ahead for Santa "sew" I thought I'd surprise them.  You can see what I created on my HOLIDAY OUTFITS page.  Give me a shout via email if you have something you'd like me to make just for you. Adding ruffles to jeans

Okay, so I thought it would be really neat to make some ruffled jeans to match my grow with me pillowcase dresses and tops.  I spent the time to gather the ruffles and didn't have a problem attaching to the girls size 10 jeans.  But the smaller sizes like 2t and 3t won't slide over the free arm of my sewing machine. Need to figure out if I use a seam ripper to undo the inside pant leg seam if I can then fit it over the free arm, add the ruffle and ribbon and then resew the side seam.  If that doesn't work, I will have to make the pants from scratch.  I was hoping to use repurposed jeans that are in almost new condition from the thrift store to save time and costs to keep my prices low.  We'll see how it goes.

This is my first attemp at setting up a blog page for my projects for lilybellesdesigns.  I hope to share with you creations that have been inspired by people I know and new ones I meet.
